BEA: eat a lot of organic food and drink vitamins

In order to maintain a healthy body, you must eat healthy food and intake vitamins. Drinking berocca has become part of my daily routine. Berocca is a dissolvable tablet that contains vitamins such as vitamin C, vitamin B, and the like. I may also drink centrum and other multivitamin tablets. These vitamins boost my immune system so that I may avoid getting sick. Organic food such as fruits, veggies, and the like are very beneficial to the body. Here are some facts on why this is so:

BEA: MAIN GOAL

MAIN GOAL: TO BE MORE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE AND HEALTHY

As a young person, I am fond of joining many different activities. These activities require much time and effort. In order for me to keep up and give my best performance in all these activities, I must eat healthy and exercise so that I may maintain a healthy mind, body and strong immune system.

BEA: drink lots of water and stay hydrated

Studies show that drinking water helps your internal organs to function well. Your body depends on water to survive. Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body needs water to work correctly. For example, your body uses water to maintain its temperature, remove waste, and lubricate joints. Water is needed for good health.

BEA: plan a health diet

Planning what you eat ahead of time allows you to eat healthier and to avoid excess/unhealthy snacking. It is good to also look into the nutritional facts of the food that you plan to eat. This way, you can keep track of your calorie intake.

BEA: make a work out routine

In order for me to strengthen my core, I must formulate a daily workout routine. This routine will include warm up and core exercises such as crunches, bicycle, superman, russian twist and the like. I must exercise on a daily basis so that it will be part of my lifestyle. Exercising daily may also enable me to achieve my goal faster.

SAMMIE: Be dedicated.

As they say, determination and dedication is the answer in order to achieve something that you want to attain. So, if I want to achieve my goal, I should have the willpower and devotion to do what I want to do and to never give up. I should also be confident and believe in myself that I can accomplish what I set. A part of this is not being lazy and making my goal always in check by putting a checklist in my room so as for me to be reminded at all times.

SAMMIE: Live an active life.

As students, we are lucky to have Physical Education classes and various school activities like intramurals for us to be fit and healthy. However, when we are on our own, we tend to forget to work out. We end up being a couch potato and do nothing. This should not be the case since continued fitness activities should be exercised to have a healthy body. I do not want to be one of those and so during my spare time, I will do my own yoga routine to warm up, relax and release stress. Also, I will not miss my ballet classes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to keep me in shape. I will also join activities like fun runs and hiking adventures to test my endurance and stamina. A good work out for my brain is to study, do online puzzles, and play board games with friends to challenge my mind.

SAMMIE: Eat smart.

Eating smart is one of keys to have a fit body. What do we mean by eating smart? Eating smart is being able to have a healthy diet and a well-balanced meal every day. This consists of eating a lot of fruits and vegetables, way more than the meat and fatty foods that we consume. One way to do this is to follow the food pyramid which I plan to pursue – to eat more greens and minimize fat-enriched foods. I will also avoid carbonated drinks, junk foods and desserts with high-sugar content. To keep track of my diet and the calories I take each day, I plan to download applications from the Apple app store like “Calorie Counter & Diet Tracker by MyFitnessPal” that will me help me monitor my intake. I know that this is easier said than done but as the saying goes, “we are what we eat” and so our physical and mental performance and overall well-being really stems out from the food that we take in.

SAMMIE: Drink 8 glasses of water everyday.

It is a well-known fact that everyone needs at least 8 glasses of water each day to be fully hydrated. With the busy schedule I have, I sometimes have a hard time attaining this. Therefore, I thought of ways that I can follow so that this could be achieved. First is to make water accessible at all times. This means that I should carry a water bottle with me, wherever I go so that I will be kept reminded that I need to drink every now and then. I will also make it a habit to at least drink two glasses per meal that I take and at least one glass in between those meals. I also plan to join the “Thirty Day Water Challenge” every month until I am accustomed to drinking water often. To take note and remind me to drink a glass of water every now and then, the application "Daily Water Free" from the Apple app store will be downloaded for my personal use.

SAMMIE: Have a work out plan

In order to build up my stamina, I need to create a workout routine. This routine will have cardiovascular exercises so that my body will be conditioned to be able to do more activities without getting tired easily. I have ballet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday so I will start the week with my ballet class. Ballet will strengthen my muscles, make me flexible and give me balance and coordination. With the exercises and warm-ups that we have, it will increase my metabolism that will help me sustain a healthy weight and a toned body easily. Every Tuesday and Thursday will be my cardiovascular workout. It will be mostly running, jogging, swimming and even stairs climbing. This will be good as it will control my weight, increase my energy level and make me look better and feel good about myself. Every Saturday is my Hiphop / Modern Dance Class which will bring the same benefits mentioned above. Having a work-out plan is definitely a plus, not only for me but also for everyone for us not to have a sedentary lifestyle.
